Candice Reyes a native El Pasoan that currently resides in New Jersey has gained a reputation for being an active latina jazz vocalist. Her innovative spirit has emulated over the course of her career starting with her first solo album with Shade Records ~Crossing Over released in 2014. Reyes, brings a youthful and refreshing sound to jazz. The vocalist performs actively in the tri state area with the CRQ and released their newest album under The Jazz Exchange LLC “Your Way” features six -time grammy award winner and jazz renowned bassist Christian McBride. Also featured on the newest album and nominated grammy winner on trumpet Nathan Eklund.

About "Your Way"

Since 2015 El Paso-born jazz vocalist Candice Reyes and her quintet have been disclosing their newest project “Your Way” in New York and New Jersey. The newest album includes original compositions and arrangements produce by Juarez native saxophonist Abel Mireles. The album “Your Way” reflects on emotions and challenges encountered in one’s journey through life. CRQ “Your Way” 2018 tour began in New Jersey and ended in Juarez, Mexico by the end of 2018. The CRQ’s fan base continues to expand throughout the New York area as well as the southwest region. The band has toured in the U.S. and internationally, performing at jazz festivals, clubs, and Performing Arts centers. Candice and the band members are experienced educators that have attended some of the top educational institutions in the U.S. and have taught jazz seminars, master classes, and clinics to students of all ages and levels. Candice Reyes studied at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she received a bachelor's degree in Commercial Music, Vocal Performance. Born into a musical family, the petite vibrant vocalist has evolved at a fast pace. The young singer not only expresses herself through her luscious voice, but she interprets her natural character through song. The CRQ will be featuring their newest album throughout 2019 and preparing for a tour in Mexico City.
